About
As Executive Vice President, Emerging Media for Eastwick Communications in Redwood City, California. I am responsible for Eastwick’s social media strategy, and for helping the agency’s clients take advantage of social media in their businesses.
Prior to joining Eastwick, I was Director of Executive Communications for Hewlett-Packard’s Technology Solutions Group, the company’s $33B global business unit responsible for enterprise and SMB customers. My team and I supported all of TSG’s senior executives, including Ann Livermore, EVP, and the business leads for HP’s Enterprise Server and Storage, HP Software, and HP Services business units, as well as the Chief Sales Officer.
Before joining HP in May, 2004, I was at Sun Microsystems where, for four years, I was senior speechwriter to Scott McNealy, then CEO, chairman and president of the company.
I hold several patents for bar code, magnetic stripe and smart card technology. My industry experience spans enterprise and network computing, embedded systems, smart card technology, supply chain management, manufacturing, and distribution. My market experience includes consumer, B2B, and public sector.
I grew up in the Silicon Valley, (to the extent that I grew up) having arrived here before it was the Silicon Valley, when it was a valley of apricot orchards and canneries. In a previous life, I played a marginal form of semi-pro hockey and was a certified Zamboni driver.
Note: some of my posts on this blog are duplicated on my Eastwick blog, and vice versa.
